The buyer is not providing any personal or financial data prior to checkout, so in that sense all pending cart orders are anonymous and don't need to be secured, so there's no cause for concern there, and this is how nearly every online shopping site works, so it's nothing unusual that would scare away buyers.
Once a buyer goes to checkout that process does need to be secure since the buyer is being requested to provide sensitive data at that point (name, address, payment account info, etc.). If they're using a third-party payment processor such as PayPal or Google Checkout, those sites are already trusted by buyers, and their checkout pages are secured and indicated as such by their own means. If they're paying you directly with a credit card authorized via PayPal Pro or Authorize.Net, in that case we host the secure checkout page at https://www.fatfreecartpro.com/... (note the "https:", with the "s" indicating a secure connection that also shows the padlock icon in their browser), and which does also display our GeoTrust badge.
