The sort of thing you describe, where the affiliate just tacks their affiliate ID onto the end of your regular page URL, would only work if the affiliate software is installed on your own site. Since E-junkie is a hosted service that is centrally-managed only on our servers and shared in common among all our sellers and affiliates, the link scheme you describe would not be possible with our built-in affiliate system. E-junkie affiliates need to use the hop links we provide for your program in their Affiliate Admin.
However, bear in mind that buyers do not need to land on a product page, nor make a purchase immediately, after clicking an affiliate's link. Regardless of what hop link the buyer clicks, we set a referral cookie in their browser that expires in 6 months, then redirect them to the landing page for that link. Anything that buyer purchases from you during the lifespan of that cookie will earn the referring affiliate your product-specific percentage on any purchased items that have one, or your common percentage on any other purchased items.
If you want to offer your affiliates a hop link that redirects to a specific page on your site, you could create a dummy product named appropriately (e.g. "Link to giveaway" or "Link to article XYZ", etc.) and enable a product-specific hop link for that product which redirects to the desired landing page (you may also want to set the product percentage as equal to your common percentage, to avoid any confusion that might arise from a 0% share being displayed for that link). Affiliates would see that product-specific link available for your program in their Affiliate Admin, which they could use to post a link to that landing page that would set their 6-month referral cookie in the buyer's browser.
