After you click the Buy Now link, once you see the "loading" spinner, that indicates our system has done its part and is then just stalling for time waiting on PayPal's site to respond. We show the loading spinner to indicate to the buyer that "something is happening", so they're not left wondering if their button click did anything, and they should take the spinner as a cue to be patient and wait until PayPal finally responds.
