What will be the best way to integrate Apple Pay with E-junkie?

Right now I'm using PayPal for Credit Card and regular Paypal payments but it looks like they will not be working together at the beginning.

Apple Pay will be released this month and judging by the easy of use, secure payment sand the amount of iOS devices sold globally it will be an instant hit and I need to provide the service in my cart.

I'll appreciate any guidance on this matter.

As far as we can tell, Apple Pay only supports purchase functions built-into native iOS apps (e.g., to buy upgrades/add-ons/tokens/etc. to use within the app itself) as well as making payments at real-world physical stores that have the equipment to accept Apple Pay. It does not appear to have any provision to process payments for general Web-based purchases, such as orders placed through any online shopping cart like E-junkie.

If they expand Apple Pay at any point to work with Web-based online purchases outside of iOS apps and physical stores, we'd certainly be interested in considering integration with it or, more likely, with a payment processor that supports it as a checkout method.

I believe I saw Apple Pay integrated right within mobile safari, I'll look more into their docs.

How is that new admin coming? when is the ETA now?

I've seen screenshots/mockups of proprietary purchasing apps -- e.g. vendor/manufacturer builds their own iOS app for placing orders without going to their Web site -- but even the payment processors who will support Apple Pay only seem to be talking about in-app payments rather than conventional Web-based shopping cart checkouts.

Our new Admin is completed and currently undergoing internal alpha testing to squash bugs and polish off the rough edges before we open it to a round of beta testing. We're anticipating at least that beta round if not a full public launch by the end of this month.

So with the latest Apple dev conference Apple pay will be accepted via websites. Would be great to get your thoughts on possible integration with E-junkie thanks!

Right now we're working on Stripe integration, and we're focusing on Braintree after that. But once we finish those projects it would definitely be something we're interested in exploring further.
