New here and appreciate all of the activity and t knowledgeable answers to questions!

I'm a bit confused by the instructions for setting up an affiliate program.

E-junkie gives us the option to set affiliate percentages for specific products and also a common affiliate percentage for our entire account, but there seems to be only one place for affiliates to sign up to sell our products; on the Common Affiliate Programs Setting Page.

In other words, affiliates cannot sign up to sell just ONE of our products, so if people are signing up to be one of our overall affiliates, but they want to sell just ONE of our products, how does that work?

Sorry for the "newbie-ness" and thanks!

There is not our a way in our system for someone to signup to be an affiliate for only one product. If you are using the product specific affiliate settings and you are using the option for Affiliates Links Will Link Directly to E-junkie Cart then an affiliate can choose to only sell one product on their site. Otherwise an affiliate's hop link will just direct buyers to your website and they will earn commissions on all products.

Thanks.

So if I understand this correctly, if I assign different affiliate commission percentages to each of my products and someone signs up to be an affiliate, the affiliate then has an opportunity to choose which product to promote?

If so, what is the process? Let's say I'm offering two products. Someone signs up to be an affiliate and what happens next?

Thanks again!

I need to add that I am asking about this process for those sellers who do not have a Website and are selling directly from e-junkie pages. Thanks!

This help page explains our affiliate system and related settings in detail:

We also have a help page for affiliates, explaining the system from their perspective:

You may wish to join your own affiliate program by clicking your own sign-up link, so you can see what your affiliates would see when they join. You can use your existing E-junkie account to join, rather than having to register a new one, and then just use the Sellers and Affiliates tabs at the top of our site to pick which Admin you want to see at any moment.

You can set up a Common Hop Link, which would typically redirect buyers to your homepage, your site's main shopping page, or your E-junkie Shop page. You can also set up product-specific hop links, which would typically redirect to your sales page for that particular product. Each affiliate joining your program would be able to obtain their hop link code for each type of hop link you set up. Regardless of which type of hop link a buyer clicks, the referring affiliate would earn your product-specific share % on purchased products which have one, and your common share % on all other products purchased by that buyer.

BTW, it actually is possible to have some products which do not grant any affiliate commission, by setting your Common share at 0% (in Seller Admin > Edit Affiliate Program Settings) and then setting a product-specific share % and enabling a product-specific hop link for each product you do want granting a commission. However, we do not recommend this, as affiliates who refer buyers to you should deserve a commission on every sale generated by their referrals, even if only a nominal amount.

Thanks so much for taking the time to post such a detailed answer.

I have another question, but will send you a private message since the subject won't be particularly illuminating for those seeing help in the forum. :)

Thanks again!
