Add Tracking Pixel to Thank You Page

Hey, I've never used Thank You Pages before, because I never bothered to set up tracking but now I'm using Adwords and really need to. I have read the FAQ but it was not clear to me.





I'm using only Paypal Standard at the moment, and my Preference would be to redirect the user to a Self Hosted Thank You Page (with the tracking Pixel) When The Payment is Done, saying just something like "Thank You and Check Your Email in a few Seconds"



Can this be done?

If you are using PayPal Website Payments Standard we cannot guarantee that you will get accurate results. It would be possible for your buyers to never visit your self-hosted thank you page because PayPal will not automatically redirect them to that page after a purchase.



The only reason to use self-hosted thank you pages is if you need the page to be on your own domain for tracking purposes. It may be easier for you to just add your code to the regular thank you page we generate after an order, because that way a buyer still has to visit it to get the download link even if they come in via email. Thanks for the answer. So I can just copy/paste the Tracking HTML code in the thank you page editor and it will work?



While I was trying to test it... I found another question...



is there a way to get a Discount Code to work with a paypal standard checkout? I can't for the life of me figure out where to put in the coupon code.

Whether or not it will work on a thank you page hosted on our site will depend on whether or not the form of tracking you will be using needs to use the same domain as the rest of your website or if it will not be a problem to use the code on a page that has our fatfreecartpro.com domain. To find that answer out for sure you'd have to consult the support documentation of the tracking system you're using.
