Hi all,

i'm new to E-Junkie.

1. I try to setup a test product for showing the flow and the VAT calculation. I'm from germany.

I see that in Chrome browser (v39.0x) i CANNOT select a country in the shopping cart.

In FireFox and IE it works OK.

2. My test product cost 0,10 Euro. For tested spain and france it looks like this:

Item: 0.10

Tax: 0.02

Total: 0.12

If i go now on 'Checkout with Paypal the tax is NOT shown. Only the the net price with

0.10. This seems OK but is confusing while not synchronized.

----------------------------------------------

Next i'm wondering if i set the buyers country to germany as the sellers too the tax is not shown if i go to 'checkout with PayPal'. ???

--------------------------------------------------

The VAT calculation in EU seems running up 1.1.2015 . So is there a checkbox missing in the admin panel. Activate on 1.1.2015??

I'm more as a little bit confused.

Thanks

At present, our VAT calculation feature adds VAT on top of the base item prices you define in Seller Admin, so you should set item prices as not including VAT.

However, this might be changing soon, to accommodate changes to VAT effective 1 Jan. 2015; we will let our clients using VAT calculation know if they will need to change any settings to cooperate with this. See this related forum thread:

The cart will only require buyers to specify a tax/shipping location if they have added any items to their cart which have "Sales Tax/VAT" and/or "Shipping/Buyer's Address" enabled in their product settings. Maybe this explains what you saw in Chrome, if you happened to test with an item that didn't have tax/shipping enabled?

PayPal checkouts will only show added shipping/tax amounts once the buyer has provided their actual shipping address during checkout, so PayPal can contact our system to make sure the shipping/tax charges are appropriate for their location. This prevents confusing or misleading the buyer in case the address they provide does not match the location they'd specified in their cart before checkout, which may change the calculated charges. If the order does not require a shipping address, tax will not be recalculated at checkout, as PayPal does not inform us of the buyer's location in that case until after payment has already been completed.

Hello, it appears you are located in India. PayPal is currently blocking domestic payments between parties both located in India, due to Indian tax technicalities for such online payments. E-junkie's parent company, Sine Info Ventures Pvt. Ltd., is headquartered in New Delhi; therefore, we are currently unable to accept subscription payments from Indian merchants until this matter is resolved.

Unfortunately, at present we cannot accept Indian subscribers, as we have no way of receiving payment from other parties in India.

It appears you have not yet added any products to sell, so if you only joined E-junkie to participate in affiliate programs (rather than for selling products of your own), you can continue to use E-junkie for that purpose without a paid subscription.
