Google Analytics/conversion tracking question

If you are using any GA tracking code provided/documented by Google (including Website Optimizer/Content Experiment), you cannot use our version of the GA tracking code at all. You would use only the GA tracking code provided by Google, and you would also need to add that code to your thank-you pages.



Last I knew, GWO requires a thank-you page on the same domain as the sales pages you're testing, so you would add the GWO conversion tracking code to a thank-you page hosted on your site (rather than customizing your E-junkie-generated thank-you pages), and follow the instructions we provide here:

Hello, I have a follow-up question on teh commnets in this thread and http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.tracking.htm.



I sell ebooks, using your shopping cart and download and paypal as payment. I would like to do in google adwords pay-for-sale. If I understood everything correctly, this is what I need to do: "You can just paste your conversion tracking code [given by google] in Seller Admin > Account Preferences > Common Thank-you Page HTML (to have the same code added to every thank-you page we generate for you), or in the Message (HTML) field of each product's settings (to have the code only added to thank-you pages when that particular item is purchased)."



I will paste the google code at the top of the thank-you message. Users don't see this right? The code I got:

Yes, you can simply paste that AdWords conversion tracking code into your E-junkie Seller Admin > Edit Preferences > Common Thank-you Page HTML field if you want it inserted for every sale regardless of the items ordered. However, if you only want it inserted when a specific product is ordered, you would paste that into the Product Thank-you Page HTML field of that product's settings. Whatever HTML you provide in either of those fields would be inserted directly into the raw HTML source of the thank-you/download pages we generate for you, so buyers would not see that code.
