It has actually been a major problem for me whilst away that I couldn't login to the dashboard and make changes and offer my customers support on my phone... seriously considering moving my custom elsewhere.

Could someone from eJunkie please respond to these recent posts? I've been asking for a solution for over 3 years now. We constantly hear that it's coming in six months. What concerns me is since I've been using eJunkie it's been extremely reliable (great!) but there's been no new features added in the 4 years I've been a customer. In fact, next to some of the features they are still labeled as "NEW" for at least 4 years now.

Cynthia, et al, I apologize for the delay in responding to these post, we were not ignoring them.



The non-flash interface is something that we are still working on, but since it requires re-writing our entire system it is no small task. I wish I could give you a timeline of when our new interface will be released but at this time since we are still working on it, we do not know when it will be launched.



We have heard different projected times for the new interface in the past, but unforeseen problems slowed progress. If we can get any information to pass on we will do so.

That is truly a non-response response. How about a percent completed? How about a screen shot of something completed? How about anything other than "we are working on it." If it had been one month since beginning that works. But with the time frame we have been in these kind of answers are starting to worry me.



All that said I still find e-junkie reliable and recommend it. But I have shifted from recommending it as a primary long term solution to a stepping stone to an actively developed solution. That solution determined by how a business grows and choosing features accordingly. In other words use e-junkie to get up and running quickly, analyze results then pick the long term solution that fits has been necessary with some of my clients.



For those like me who need to access the admin interface on the road over Apple devices I have taken to using the LogMeIn iPad app to launch the site off my desktop computer at home. A true hobble along solution but it gets the job done.

As we have been projecting since spring, we are still expecting the new Admin to be fully live sometime within Q4 of this year. If all continues going to plan, we should have a completed version ready to start alpha testing internally around the end of summer, then we can open it to beta testing among a few select client volunteers to help us find any wrinkles that may need ironing out, then once it's fully tested to our satisfaction, we can finally take it live.



The last update to the current Admin was launched on August 25, 2009. Preliminary planning for another update began in late 2010. However, 2011 brought some false starts and other unexpected setbacks to Admin update plans, along with the conclusion that the current Admin had become too fragile to develop any further, and the broader realization that Flash was quickly becoming an obsolete technology anyway.



We hired an experienced new developer in March of last year to help us restart work on an all-new, HTML-based Admin built from scratch. Much of his work has involved essentially reverse-engineering the current Admin, as none of the Flash source code it's based on could simply be carried over to the new Admin, yet it would have to be written from scratch to work with our existing back-end as essentially a drop-in replacement for the current Admin.



I have already finished building the HTML/CSS templates for all new Admin screens back around mid-May. Now it's just a matter of our Admin programmer wrapping up the scripting that will make those screens dynamic and functional as a drop-in replacement for the current Admin. Once we finish testing the initial build and take it live, it will allow us to make ongoing updates and improvements much more readily and frequently.

I've recently been looking at alternative payment options so seriously thinking of jumping ship, this message couldn't have come at a better time and certainly instils trust in me that you guys are on it. Brilliant.

We are now approaching the 3rd quarter of 2013. The discussion surrounding building a non-Flash version of your Seller Admin on this thread has been going on now for over 3 years. Can you please give us a solid update on whether you're going to launch this within the next 3 months?

We are still on schedule to have an alpha version completed for internal testing within the next couple weeks or so, followed by a round of beta testing with select clients, and a final version ready for launch by the end of this year.



Our decision to upgrade our 2CheckOut integration to support full cart checkouts eliminates the need to rush the new Admin into production by Nov. 20th when Google Checkout retires for good, as our current Admin already has all the settings required for 2CO integration.



We are thinking it may be best to wait until after the holiday shopping season before we do a general launch of the final new Admin, so our sellers won't have to deal with getting accustomed to a new interface during their busiest time of year, though the new interface will be largely similar to the current one. Beta testing should at least allow us to grant limited access to the new Admin before then for sellers who wish to be early adopters.

You mentioned in September that you were going to wait until after the holidays to do a general launch of the new Admin. Can you provide a status update?

The new Admin should be ready for general release in early 2014. By now, we already have an early developmental version residing on our production server that appears to be interfacing well with our database, so we're in the home stretch making rapid progress towards a feature-complete alpha version to work out any kinks and put the finishing touches on that before we'd consider it solid enough to open for a round of beta testing, after which we can finally make it live for everyone.
