March 6-12, 2025
Join us in the countryside of São Paulo, Brazil for an adventure-filled tropical wellness retreat!
Hello Foodie Friends!
Are you a raw food enthusiast? It is with HUGE amounts of pleasure, that I’m inviting you to our March 2025 foodie adventure in the lovely area of Araçoiaba da Serra, São Paulo, Brazil.
(with airport pickup and drop-off at São Paulo Guarulhos Airport)
Together, we’ll connect, make amazing foods, and have a LOT of fun! This event is fantastic for any level — from newbies all the way to long-time devotees. You won't be simply learning recipes; with each new topic, you'll become the master of your kitchen, substituting and whipping together recipes with what we have on hand like a professional. Did I mention that this will be FUN?!
Beyond the fun in the kitchen, you'll be in community with lovely humans who care. This isn't just a raw food adventure… it’s the next step in a LIFE adventure. We’ll inspire each other to go home embracing our best, to release shame over perceived imperfections, and inspired to eat well for life! There’s something MAGICAL about going to a special place with intention; it’s the breeding ground for stepping into our greatest potential.
Not to mention, you’ll go home with new foodie friends! :)
And hey…!
Before we get into the ridiculously (!) juicy details and agenda, I want to give you a tiny bit of an idea of the kind of indulgence we’re planning for you. The best way I can describe it is using the words of Matt Crawley, super cool guy and lucky husband to Amber Shea Crawley (author of Practically Raw and Practically Raw Desserts). When he was trying to describe the experience, he suggested you might like to…
“envision the kind of vacation you’d attend if your hostess were… OPRAH!”
When Matt suggested our events were that caliber, I realized… sure enough… every single detail is carefully, lovingly, and decadently planned to indulge you as much as we possibly can. Probably much like what Oprah would do for a retreat!
Let’s dive in, shall we?! I’ll share quite a few photos from our actual vacations so you can see what I’m talking about!
With so much love,
xxo Eva
“This was the most nourishing and loving thing I have done for myself in… forever!!
The recipes were awesome. The little kitchen and recipe tips were invaluable! There was not one thing I did not love about my time here!… Éva knows how to do it up right!”
~Kathy Caulfield
This happy image? It’s at our amazing local farmers’ market!
This image was snapped in 2011, when I was pregnant with my daughter Lilla but didn’t know it just yet! We still go to this same market every single week we’re in Brazil, and it just does not get old!
Buying FRESH, VIBRANT, FLAVORFUL, LOCAL tropical fruits from the farmers is suuuch a pleasure!
Did you know there are MANY different varieties of mangoes? Bananas?! Pineapples! But then there are the dragon fruits (YUM!), jackfruits (yes, they really do taste and smell like Juicy Fruit gum, it’s wild!), and sooo much more! And if you’ve never had “Maracujá do Mato” wait until you try this miraculous version of passionfruit! I’m salivating now as I type this…
“I’m 80/10/10, only because it’s easy for me, but my family doesn’t really like it because they’re transitioning. The week helped me open my eyes to what else to make, that will help my family like raw better.”
~Donna Davis
…and Frank Davis says “Try it, You will like it!”
Our hammocks will overlook the tropical countryside…
And our private pool :)
cozy cozy cozy
“You don’t have to be raw! Anyone interested in FOOD would enjoy this!”
~Christina Oery, Durham, NC
We’ll work with FRESH, organic, and locally sourced ingredients.
Imagine the FUN of playing with your food when you’re set for success like this! Expect to find little foodie surprises, ridiculously abundant local and organic produce, and a complete raw pantry at your disposal.
We’ll eat much more diverse and gourmet foods than just rabbits, so I admit that sharing these delightful carrots with you gives me a laugh!
“Thank you for feeding not only my heart, but my soul. I loved it ALL!
I enjoyed our long and intense conversations at the dinner table. I loved the open communication while preparing the food. I adored Éva’s sincerity and ‘raw’ down-to-earth personality.”

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS GALORE…
What does the price include?
Airport pick-up on arrival day
Airport drop-off on check-out day (Helpful Hints: Plan to take a night flight to get to Brazil + ARRIVE in the morning of March 6. We’ll coordinate with everyone to get your flight numbers and will make more than one trip if needed. At your departure, please again plan for an evening flight. This is the most typical travel pattern for international flights to and from our local airport!)
Deluxe accommodations at our private retreat with huge swimming pool, gardens, football field, etc.
DELICIOUS foods during your whole stay, including some harder to find tropical fruits from my friends’ farms (like WILD passionfruit: it’s literally wild, looks like a kumquat and you can just pop it open with your thumb, such a delight and tastes naturally sooo sweet but sour as passionfruit is too!)
Unlimited coconut water directly from COCONUTS that are fresh off the tree!
Thoughtful ecotourism — we’ll be composting 100% of food scraps, eating organically from local foods, and treading VERY LIGHTLY on our shared planet
Heaps of Adventures including to some favorite local destinations:
Itu: look it up online if you want, it’s the “capital of large things”, like large stoplights and a HUGE telephone)
Picnic at the waterfalls (YES, bring your swimsuit!)
Organic you-pick farm visit
Farmers market fun with tropical abundance like you never experienced outside of a place so delightful as Brazil with its wildly fertile soil (quick story: one year, we tossed papaya seeds out the window, WE CAME BACK TO A PAPAYA TREE THE NEXT YEAR which we eventually had to remove because the roots were growing under our home. Like “Johnny Appleseed” but this was “Carlos Papaya Seed”! haha!)
Optional bike adventure!
NO surprises! Once you get here, you’re 100% taken care of!
Pricing
We’ve made this as affordable as possible for high-end all-inclusive adventure & accommodation!
PRIVATE BEDROOM — $1497
SHARED BEDROOM — $1197
Both bedroom options include the same perks of 7 days & 6 nights of all-inclusive foodie fun, learning, and adventure with delicious food, all group activities like waterfalls! farm visits! coconut fresh off the trees! tours! surprises!, and really just an explosion of more than you even hope for!
Important Passport Info!
Make sure your passport is valid 6 months AFTER your arrival date. This applies even if you will leave in less than six months. (We know you’ll want to stay, we have SUCH a hard time leaving after four months every years!)
Will I need to apply for a travel visa?
Probably not:
the visa waiver program has been extended for citizens of the USA, Canada, and Australia. That means that as long as you enter the country before April 10, 2025, you will not need a special visa for entry. After April 10, that is expected to change, but for this trip, you’re good!
If you’re a citizen of the EU countries, the UK, New Zealand, South Africa, or Japan, you’re from one of the 80+ countries that Brazil does not require a special visa for tourists.
May I bring my four-legged family members?
No, animals are not allowed. Sorry about that!
May I bring my human family members?
Yes, absolutely! Spouses, partners, friends, kids, your loved ones are WELCOME! If you book a private room, you may share with a guest at NO EXTRA COST!! Bring a friend or partner and split it!
About KIDS: We’ve had several kids over the years, and every single time we were happy they were able to come! Not once has any child caused a disruption; it’s been the opposite that they were helpful, curious, and excited to be a part of the mix. You know whether it could work, and we trust you to use your discretion and to plant the seeds ahead of time about all the important things when it comes to being part of a group like this.
Will this be an adults-only event?
While kids don’t usually come with their parents (or one parent), they are very welcome and do come sometimes. I can tell you FOR SURE that we will not be fully adults-only because my daughter Lilla (who will be turning 13 just a couple weeks after the vacation) will join us at some point. She is my best helper in the kitchen, and it is a joy to have her fresh perspective in the mix!
So if you have any allergies to kids, it’s better not to come, just in case!
Speaking of allergies, will you be able to accommodate mine?
Please let us know ahead of time so we can take care to make sure to accommodate. As a rule, we do not include any peanuts, gluten, dairy, fish, eggs, or any other animal products. We will use agave syrup, maple syrup, dates, date paste, and/or coconut sugar for sweetener rather than honey. So the most common allergens are already avoided by default. But whatever your allergy, sensitivity, or even dislike, just let me know ahead of time! We’ll take care of it, no big deal!
If I book a shared spot, what does that mean?
You’ll have your own bed in a shared room with another guest of the same sex. Slumber party! This is a fun way to save a bit while still having the full and amazing experience. Another similar option is to book a private room + find a friend to come with you and split the cost!
Will I have a private bathroom?
PROBABLY, but we cannot guarantee it. Please plan that you may need to share a bathroom, but know that we’ll have many bathrooms on site.
Refunds & Transfers
Your space is booked for you and is non-refundable, unless we’re able to fill your space from our waiting list (5% cancellation fee applies). You may transfer your spot to someone else at no cost, up to 7 days before arrival.
Will there be coffee?
This question is here because I’ve received it a number of times over the years, funny enough. Yes, if you need coffee, we’ll have some here. But we won’t brew it in the morning; it will be in the form of bags or the best available organic instant coffee. We do this because at least one of our guests in the past found that the smell of coffee brewing was a big temptation after getting off of coffee. This is our way to make sure we’re all good!
What if I don't want to eat 100% raw or vegan?
The food we provide as a group will be 100% vegan and plant-based with an emphasis on raw, so it should be easy and lovely to eat 100% raw. If it makes sense for one or more members of our group, we’d consider offering some thoughtfully prepared plant-based cooked foods, such as sautéed veggies or quinoa. No matter what, you’ll be very happy with the mix of food options, and we’ll customize the menu to PERFECTLY fit our group!
Not everyone who joins us is strictly raw and/or vegan, so you’ll also need to be prepared that not everyone will see or eat exactly as you do. We’re adults here, so I’m sure this feels obvious! We make an effort to have a super non-judgmental space for these adventures and to honor that each of us is on our own path. I (Éva, your hostess, it’s me here writing this page) believe that food is important but that life and wellness are SO much more than food! You don’t have to be 100% perfect princess raw vegan to live in the “right” way. Life is more complex than that, and our personal needs and viewpoints can even change.
While I was personally healed from raw food, and it has massively and beautifully affected me, I’ve also had periods of time where I feel amazing and happily eat “high raw”. We will probably talk a lot about this topic, actually! I have found from coaching many hundreds of amazing clients over the years, that the shame-free approach to conscious eating is far more sustainable and productive than feeling like we “should” ALL be perfect 100% of the time. Again… this will come up in conversation… I know that because it ALWAYS DOES. And when it does, NONE of your amazing new friends will be pointing fingers or making anyone feel less than for their dietary choices. We’re together for fun, connection, and support as we grow, learn, and enjoy the adventure!
What if I want to skip an activity?
All good, everything is optional. This isn’t just OUR adventure, it’s YOUR adventure! Let it be what you want!
Am I welcome?
Are you a kind, respectful, adult human (or coming with one) who has read this page and feels like you’re a good fit? YOU ARE WELCOME! This is not a gender-specific or diet-specific or religion-specific or ANYONE-specific event other than that you need to be kind and respectful of your fellow guests!
“What a great opportunity to get away from life and spend time with like-minded people sharing amazing food, ideas, and inspiration, and learning at the same time from one another!
[What would I like to see less of?] Really… nothing! 😀 I thought the whole week was just amazing!”
~Summer Bagley
