The datacenter facility where we colocate our servers which operate the E-junkie service and Web site has notified us of a scheduled maintenance event Tue03Aug2010 8pm MST:
In this case we will be replacing our Phoenix router, which has turned off its redundant CPU. This isn't a problem in and of itself but it means we have no redundancy in that device. It provides one of our redundant links to the Internet as well as connects our Phoenix customers. This change will improve our ability to maintain redundancy of both Voice and Data services.
Tucson customers will have an extremely short and momentary loss of incoming packets on the redundant links being taken down.
In this case, "Tucson customers" would refer to E-junkie itself, along with their other clientele colocated at or connected through their Tucson facility. This should not cause any significant interruption to E-junkie services, but there may be a brief moment or two of sporadic disruptions such as cart buttons failing to respond, the cart failing to display, uploads or downloads stalling or not responding, or Admin becoming inaccessible or unresponsive, any of which should clear up by themselves after a brief wait.
Actual disruptions, if any, should likely be so minor as to be unnoticeable, but we are posting this anyway just in case you notice or get buyers reporting anything odd around the time of this maintenance, so you'll know what's going on at that time.
