A buyer of my ebook receives an error when trying to download on a Samsung Galaxy S2. What could it be?
It's hard to say without knowing the actual error message. They may simply need to install a download manager app to be able to download anything from the Web to their Android device at all.
On a related note, Apple iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod) cannot download from the Web at all, as Apple only permits them to download from the Apple iTunes and App Stores. Buyers with those devices would need to use a regular computer for the download and then sync the file from there to their iOS device.
Just FYI, that last statement about iOS devices is wrong, at least in general. Many third-party browsers exist that allow downloading. In addition, there are third-party apps that allow downloading in Safari.
This only applies to non-iOS format files, however -- PDFs and other formats that have native iOS apps can be downloaded directly in Safari. PDFs open in iBooks, for example.
So it's not true to say that iOS devices can't download from the web.

Hi, I've finished an e book that I wanted people to be able to download to their mobile phones but my samsung galaxy mini won't download it from the download link for reasons unknown to me and I'm wondering if others will have the same problem. It downloads fine to my computer. Also if I send it as an attachment to my email account and open the attachment from my phone the phone opens it fine and downloads it to the phone without a problem. Is there a way to set up e junkie so that the file is sent as an attachment to the buyers email account upon payment so that I can work around this problem that way? The file is quite large - 10 mb. Also do you think most smart phones will behave the same way?
Thanking you for your help in advance,
Tim
You may need to install a download manager/helper app for your Android device. Some devices may come with such an app pre-installed, but apparently yours did not. If you receive or expect a lot of buyer complaints about this, you may wish to add this tip to your thank-you pages; the best place for that would be in your Seller Admin > Account Preferences > Common Thank-you Page HTML field, which gets added to the bottom of all thank-you pages we generate for you.
